2025 - 2026 Faith Formation

Our 2025-2026 Faith Formation year begins the first day of classes on Wednesday, September 17^th

Our first Faith Formation Family Mass will be on Catechetical Sunday, September 21^st at 10:30 am.

Classes throughout the year will be held on Wednesdays from 5:45pm - 7:00pm for ALL GRADE LEVELS (Kindergarten - 8th).

This year we have 16 volunteers who will be leading our children in the following grades:

PROMISE group (Kindergarten & 1^st grade) – Mrs. Maria Landry & Miss Kamry Landry VISIONS group #1 (6^th grade) – Mr. Roland Brannon & Mrs. Jenny Guillot

GOOD NEWS group (2^nd & 3^rd grade) – Ms. Paula Wiggins Oliver & Mrs. Becky Blanchard VISIONS group #2 (7^th grade – Mrs. Roz Meranta & Mrs.Elaine Landry

VENTURE group #1 (4^th grade) – Ms. Renee Garris VISION Confirmation (8^th grade +) – Mr. Kim Meranta & Mrs. Kathy Shilling

Faith formation isn't about education or about learning as many facts as possible about the Catholic religion. As the term implies, faith formation is not about information but formation. It is about forming us in our loving relationship with God. One way that we grow in our relationship with God is by developing and celebrating our faith at home. That development and growth continues for the children of St. Bernadette through our Faith Formation program. We invite our children to open themselves to learning more about our wonderful creator and His relationship with all of us. We will be working to better understand what happens in the liturgy. We will be guiding the children in reading of scripture, discussing its message, and its spiritual relevance in our lives.

Faith Formation is a shared responsibility among parishes, clergy, and families. It builds a foundation for living a life rooted in Catholic values and thrives when the whole Church participates. Without family involvement, children might see faith as separate from daily life. This collective responsibility is vital to keeping our faith alive.

Confirmation Requirements

Attend class – be in class every week

Attend Mass and Holy Days of Obligations

Go to Confession as least once a month

Make a Holy Hour (Adoration) in Chapel

Confirmation Practice

Confirmation Practice is Wednesday, April 24th at 6:00 pm. with Confession.
Sponsors need to be at practice with student.

Confirmation Mass
Confirmation Mass is Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 pm, Bishop Jerrell will be the main celebrate for the Mass.
